Senator Khabeeb signs youth empowerment bond in Jigawa

The Senator representing Jigawa southwest senatorial districts, Senator Mustapha Khabeeb signed a bond with 40 youths after receiving empowerment worth over forty million naira.

Signing the bond the senator and the youths agreed on not selling and judicial uses of the multi-million shoes-making working tools in their respective locations and to job providers to others particularly their co-youth across the senatorial zone and the state at large.

Speaking at a mini ceremony for bound signing, Senator Mustapha Khabeeb distributed shoes making working tools and a business takes up cash of N100,000 to each of the 40 youth.

The senator who was represented by the Jigawa State PDP Secretary Isa Bello Gwadayi said this is 6th of the major empowerment where both male and female youth have been trained on various skills, provided with working equipment and taken off money capable of setting up a factory.

He said,”thousands of youth in this senatorial zone empowered which now established their businesses became selves reliance and provides jobs to others.

“All that is in addition to many, many smalls and simples empowerment and grants to thousands since the senator elected, the target is to go round to each and every family.”

Senator Khabeeb assured beneficiaries and the entire constituents for more empowerment programmes is on the pipeline and urged the graduands to step down the training to others in their various communities.

The 40 beneficiaries had earlier received 21 days training on shoes making were given one hundred thousand naira each and working tools to set up their shoe making business.

The training held at federal university Dutse (FUD) department of entrepreneurship by Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology Zaria and a certificate was given to all the participants.

Speaking to Tribune Online some of the beneficiaries said with this empowerment programme they are now self reliant and promised not to sell their working tools meant for shoe production.

The graduands presented some of the leather shoes they produced to the leaders of the PDP in the state that graced the graduation ceremony. Certificates were presented to the graduands.

In return the graduands presented an award to Senator Mustapha Khabeeb for his exemplary leadership qualities.
