The Kaduna State Police command says the security situation in Kabala West, Kaduna South Local Government is under control, following a clash between groups of miscreants.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Aliyu Usman, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna on Monday.
Usman confirmed there was a problem between groups of miscreants that disrupted peace in the area.
“When the Police were alerted, we quickly responded and deployed personnel who put the situation under control; so far, everything is under control, law and order has been restored in that Area,” he said.
An eye-witness, Muhammad Auwal, told NAN the crisis was over a girlfriend of the miscreants, adding that two people were injured.
“One of the boys was from Hayin Rigasa while the other boy and the girl were from Kabala West.”
The eye-witness said that adequate security personnel had been deployed to the area and that peace had been restored.
“We commend the security operatives deployed to the area,” he said.
