The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Mustafa, on Tuesday, enjoined residents of the Federal Capital Territory to complement the efforts of the command in its efforts at providing security for lives and property, by taking serious the issue of their personal safety and security and avoid making themselves cheap targets to criminals.
Muhammad Mustafa reiterated that the command had evolved proactive security measures that had been instrumental to the recent successes recorded in the fight against crime in FCT.
He called on members of the public to collaborate with the police, by providing vital information about criminals and their hibernating spots.
The Commissioner of Police also advised residents not to park their vehicles in lonely and secluded places which often served as easy targets for criminals to freely operate.
He also enjoined motorists to fix tracking devices in their cars, and to wind up their cars’ windscreen, especially while driving along areas that witness slow vehicular movement as a result of bumps and traffic lights.
