Security challenge: Kebbi gov donates vehicles, motorcycles to Army

Kebbi State government, on Wednesday, donated eight Hilux vehicles and twenty motorcycles to the 1Brigade Nigeria Army, Gusau, Zamfara State, as part of the state government contribution to tackle banditry across the state border with neighbouring Zamfara, Sokoto and Niger States.

The state governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, who was represented at the presentation of the Vehicles and Motorcycles by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Babale Umar Yauri, charged the Officers and Men of the Nigeria Army of the Brigade to be above board to ensure bandits are defeated in shortest possible time.

Governor Bagudu who received in audience the newly posted Brigade Commander to Gusau, Brigadier General Mohammed Bello Waziri, told his visitor that because of the state government appreciation of the efforts of the Nigeria Army in the war front, government do provide the families of troops with gifts during Christmas and Wallah celebrations.

Responding, the newly posted Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Mohammed Bello Waziri, promise the state government that with the vehicle mobility, the Army would do everything humanly possible to get rid of bandits across the state and beyond.

He said that with his experience in the northeast operation, he will bring to bear such experience to tackle banditry and other forms of criminality across the states under his command.
