Oreruan said that the party had ensured hitch-free congresses in the state to bring out leaders that share the ideals of the party.
Buoyed by the turn out of thousands of party supporters at the recent inauguration of the state executive council, he predicted that it would take over the governance of Nigeria at the federal level and several states of the federation come February 2019 general elections.
He said that as a people-oriented party, the party will ensure total grassroots mobilisation in the country.
He said: “We promise you that the responsibilities that have been placed on our shoulders, we will not make light of it.
We are working very hard and with this new opportunity you have given to us, we will work harder we as a socialist-oriented party, we are not noisemakers, we don’t believe in propaganda, we work silently to the grassroots.

He said that the emphasis will be on grassroots mobilisation and does not believe in recycling old politicians that move from one party to the other.
He added: “Our emphasis on the people of the grassroots especially those that have not been voting because of the recycling of our political office holders and politicians that are moving from one party to another without any clearly defined ideology.
“But in SDP, we have come to bring about a new dawn and a new change and by February, Nigeria will experience that change when we take over the government of Aso Rock and in all the states of the federation.”
