In a momentous career advancement, Mr. Kenneth, a seasoned Subsea Engineer, has been appointed as the new Technical Design Engineer at Schlumberger’s headquarters in Sugar Land, United States. This prestigious role, reserved for only the most exceptional professionals in the oil and gas industry, marks the culmination of over 18 years of unwavering dedication, skill, and leadership. Mr. Ikwunze holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from University of Port-Harcourt.
Kenneth’s remarkable journey began in 2006 when he joined Schlumberger, one of the world’s leading oil and gas service companies, as a Field Specialist 1 in Port Harcourt. His early years with the company were marked by his quick mastery of complex subsea operations, which led to a well-deserved promotion to Field Specialist 2 in 2009. In this role, Ikwunze took on the responsibility of leading teams of equipment operators and technicians, executing offshore rig jobs with precision and efficiency. His ability to manage demanding tasks and deliver top-tier results quickly earned him a reputation for excellence in the field.
By March 2011, Ikwunze’s leadership and technical expertise propelled him to the role of Field Specialist 3, where he took on even larger responsibilities, overseeing a broader range of operations and guiding teams to meet increasingly challenging objectives. His work was instrumental in maintaining Schlumberger’s high standards of operational excellence and safety in the offshore environment.
In November 2018, Ikwunze’s expertise was further recognized when he was appointed as General Field Specialist (GFS) of Schlumberger Nigeria. In this senior role, he was tasked with overseeing major subsea projects and ensuring the success of large-scale offshore operations. His ability to lead teams, optimize performance, and maintain a high standard of safety underscored his value to the company.
