They used the opportunity to associate with their favourite actor, Olaniyi Afonja, otherwise called Sanyeri.
The venue of the annual event, Civic Centre, Adi Ape, Ibadan, Oyo State, came alive when the popular comic-actor appeared on stage to thrill the crowd, mostly children from various orphanage homes and the needy.
The hall was rent with the chant of Sanyeri when he was to do his thing. The actor thrilled the children and used the event to charge parents and guardians to teach their children and wards culture and indigenous languages as it would enable them to become good ambassadors.

The convener, Seyi Akinbohun, expressed her delight on the success of this year’s event, adding “I am overwhelmed with the large turnout of children, especially the needy and physically challenged. It is a dream come true by impacting lives. This is one of the many ways we are impacting lives and we are happy to associate with them.
“I want to thank those that have been supporting this dream, especially the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Mr Seyi Makinde and other well-meaning Nigerians. We have a vision and we are hopeful that we will achieve it very soon with the support of people. Our major goal is to establish a resort centre for the underprivileged in order to make them have equal right in the society,” she said.
