Sanwo-Olu felicitates Chief of Staff, Ayinde, at 60

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated his Chief of Staff (COS), Tayo Ayinde, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a dependable, worthy and trusted partner in the ‘Greater Lagos’ agenda.

Governor Sanwo-Olu said this in a congratulatory message issued on Friday by his Special Adviser (SA) on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, noting that Ayinde, who clocks 60 on Saturday, August 24, had displayed high-level capacity, performance and competence, in discharging his duties as Chief of Staff to him in the last five years of his administration.

The governor further described Ayinde as a beacon of grassroots mobilisation and support, hard work, loyalty and sincerity, saying that the celebrant is a man of integrity, diligence and a model of excellence, whom he is pleased to call his Chief of Staff.

According to him, Ayinde is an asset to his administration because of his loyalty, selflessness and hardwork, and further described him as God-fearing and a quintessential gentleman who had contributed immensely to the growth and development of Lagos State as a member of the State Executive Council.

“Happy Birthday to my Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, a reliable, trusted, loyal and hardworking gentleman in the Greater Lagos agenda. Ayinde is a committed public servant who has displayed a high level of competence, accountability and transparency in public office.

“He is indeed a ‘Buffalo,’ as he is usually called by his friends and political associates, because he depicts the true strength and survival instincts of a buffalo.

“I celebrate Mr. Tayo Ayinde, the man I am pleased to call my Chief of Staff, on his 60th birthday. His diamond birthday is worth celebrating because of his remarkable impact in our state and Nigeria. As a tested and trusted accountant, he served Nigeria passionately in the State Security Service and rose to the position of Head of the Accounts Department till he retired in 2009.

“Buffalo, as the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign in Lagos State, was very instrumental in the 2019 governorship election that brought our administration to office.

“He also worked passionately to ensure our party was re-elected during the 2023 polls. He is a quintessential gentleman, a man of integrity, diligence, and a model of excellence,” Governor Sanwo-Olu stated.

“On behalf of my adorable wife, Ibijoke, family, the government, and the good people of Lagos State, as well as the State Executive Council and entire staff in my office, I join family, friends, political associates, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, to congratulate you on your 60th birthday.

“As you celebrate your Diamond Jubilee, I pray that the blessings of God will be with you for you to continue rendering your service to our dear Lagos State. You will continue to enjoy God’s favour and grace. God will strengthen you to offer more service to humanity, our dear Lagos State and Nigeria,” he said.
