Samuel Omojowo set to produce new hit movie

Notable film maker, Samuel Omojowo, is poised to produce a new sensational movie aimed at changing the face of film production in Nigeria.

Omojowo is currently in London, putting together the cast and crew for the movie which would premiere in the United Kingdom and Nigeria respectively upon completion.

The hardworking movie director told R that the new movie would set the pace in using the best of modern technology to produce a blockbuster movie in Nigeria, while affirming that all hands are on deck to produce a movie which would compete with the best in the world and do Nigeria proud.

“We need to present Nigeria in good light to the world and I can assure you that this movie would re-define movie making in Nigeria upon release,” he said.

According to him, the script for the movie was written by Femi Fadeyi and Akinyemi Adewumi, while the crew members include some of the best hands in the industry such as Bello Tijani, Yomi Olaniran, Yinka Gboye, Segun Omolafe, Tope Tee, Bukola Oloye, Ige Oladeji and Akadiri Oluwafemi.

Omojowo, who has spent over 15 years in the industry, is highly versed in cinematography. He is a product of London Film Academy, Film Institute, Jos, Nigeria. As a film director, musical video director, voice over artiste, radio and TV presenter, he has had the opportunity of having worked with veterans like Tunde Kelani, Tunji Bamisigbin, Goke Aina, Tunde Adekoya, Aderemi Kamala, Sunday Ogunyemi and the late Alade Aromire.

He was the head of the technical department at Remdel Optimum Communications Limited, Akure before setting up his own production outfit, Da Cinema Production. He has directed about 15 movies and has produced several hit musical videos for Tope Alabi, Bisi Alawiye and Evangelist Bola Are, among other notable artistes.

“My boss at Remdel Optimum Communications, Mr. Remi Ibitola and his late wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Biodun Ibitola gave me a lot of support in life to achieve my dream as a film maker. I also appreciate the immense support of Mr. Kent Uche, the Chairman of Naija FM Radio station and Godfather Promotion, London and Mr. Kayode Falade over the years. I will ever be grateful to them,” he said.
