Sallah: Police deploy human, material resources for hitch-free celebration in Bauchi

Bauchi State Police Command has stated that adequate human and material resources have been deployed to fortify security across the state before, during and after the Sallah celebration.
The deployment was in preparation for a hitch-free Eid-El Kabir celebration which necessitated the command to re-strategize the security disposition in the state.
The command also took into consideration, the possibility of miscreants and disgruntled elements of all descriptions who might want to leverage the occasion and perpetrate their nefarious activities.
“In view of this, the Command has hereby ordered massive deployment of conventional Police personnel as well as the tactical teams attached to the Command: Rapid Response Team (RRS), Anti-kidnapping Unit (AKU), Operation Restore Peace (ORS), Police Mobile Force (PMF) and Explosives Ordinance Disposal and Chemical Biological radioactive Nuclear (EOD&CBRN) operatives to various strategic places, especially areas that are susceptible to attack,” It stressed.
Consequently, Operation Order has been issued, while Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs have been directed to ensure apparent visibility policing during the festive period through constant supervision of officers and men deployed for the season with regards to standard operating procedures.
In the same vein, the Command reiterated its aggressive stance to decisively descent on anyone found breaching public peace, law and order, before, during and after the festive period.
The Command then felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in the State on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, and equally appreciated the people of the state for their support and cooperation with the Police in the state.
