Eseigbe, who resides at Lugbe in Abuja, is facing a two-count charge.
The Prosecutor, Ifeoma Ukahga, told the court that the matter was reported by Blessing Omoagbor of Utako in Abuja at Utako Police Station on April 30.
Ukagha said the defendant, who worked as a sales representative in Omoagbor’s shop, could not give a satisfactory account of the N158, 535 kept in her care.
The prosecutor added that N90,000 was found in the possession of the defendant during the investigation.
She said the offence contravened sections 312 and 322 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, denied committing the offences and the judge, Inuwa Maiwada, granted him bail
in the sum of N70,000 with one surety in like sum.
Maiwada said the surety must produce valid identification card and adjourned the case until Aug. 18, for hearing.
A court hearing on the matter is scheduled for August 1.
