The seven-day convention christened Bible Alive Believers International Convention (BABIC) is organised by the Gospel Light International Ministry (GLIM), a.k.a. New Covenant Gospel Church (NCGC).
Frontline clergy expected at the event include the national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Reverend (Dr) Felix Omobude; Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor; Bishop Mike Okonkwo; Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo; Bishop Simeon Okah; Pastor Lawrence Achudume, Dr Reggies Wenyika, among others.
Renowned gospel singers, Dr Ron Kenoly and Evangelist Nathaniel Bassey, will be the lead singers at the event.
With the theme, A City Set On A Hill, more than 100,000 Christian delegates and worshippers from Nigeria, Africa, America and Europe, are expected to grace the convention.
Reverend Omobude, in a statement in Benin by his media aide, Deacon Ralph Okhiria, stated that several difficulties plaguing Nigeria as a nation would be handed over to God in prayers.
Omobude said: “For seven days, beginning from Monday, October 23, 2017, Christian leaders from across the world will gather at the main auditorium of the New Covenant Gospel Church, Benin City, for a spiritual experience that will bless Nigeria as a country and Nigerians as a people.
“During the convention, more than 100,000 Christian leaders and worshippers will pray against the rising spate of violent crimes, especially cases of insurgency, kidnapping, armed robbery, assassination, and other criminal activities.”
