Lagos Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa recently pulled his weight in the country’s political circle.
The influential politician, a major force in Lagos politics dragged the who-is-who to Agege for the 8th-day fidau of his late dad, Alhaji Sulaiman Atanda Obasa.
Governors, lawmakers from National and State Assemblies, top politicians, and business people were present at the occasion.
Spotted were the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Alhaja Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Hon Debo Ogundoyin, Hon Wale Egbedun, Emomotimi Guwor, Justice Kazeem Alogba, all Lagos Assembly members, Lagos cabinet members, the Lagos judiciary, traditional rulers and religious leaders.
It was a moment of prayer, tributes to the deceased, and sober reflection on life and death.
The Lagos Speaker, while thanking the people recalled how his late father guided him and his siblings throughout his lifetime and mentioned other legacies he left behind.
The grandchildren of the deceased announced their plans to embark on water projects across Lagos in honour of their grandfather.
