Robbers invade Nigerian Tribune staff’s residence, cart away laptop, others

Unknown criminals invaded the residence of Ebonyi State Correspondent of Nigeria Tribune Newspaper and made away with properties worth thousands of Naira.

The hoodlums, according to the victim, Mrs Grace Egbo, made away with a new HP laptop, charger, laptop bag and other belongings at No, 13 Barr. Igwe Amah, Abakaliki, the state capital.

“I was surprised when I heard my husband came and was asking me about his laptop bag. In the beginning, I thought he was joking but I noticed that he was serious, so I joined him to search every corner of our house but we could not see the bag so he left for work.

“Later in the day, I wanted to work with my laptop but I discovered that the laptop and its charger were missing too. I raised alarm and complained to the Ebonyi State Police, Kpirikpiri station and they assured me that the perpetrators will be brought to book,” she noted.

When contacted for reaction, Police Public relations officers, PPRO DSP Loveth Odah, said the police has swung into action and promised to ensure that the stolen properties are recovered.
