“All necessary things have been done and the minister assured me that the dualisation work will start this year and I believe him”
Speaking on the deplorable state of the Owo/Ikare road, the commissioner said the state government had been trying to provide palliative measures but said the rocky terrain of the road made it impossible saying “the road needs to be totally reconstructed”
He said “People will notice that once the road is fixed after some months it goes bad again” and said the deplorable state of the road has turned the road to haven and hide out for criminals and kidnappers

“To us what the road needs is a total reconstruction and we hope our national assembly members can put it in the budget”,
The commissioner reassured the people of the state of the commitment of the government of Rotimi Akeredolu to deliver good road networks across the state.
