Gov Wike
Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has described the ongoing internal wrangling in Rivers as party affair and not ethnic as widely speculated on social media.
Wike made the clarification while addressing the press on Tuesday shortly after the governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met in Abuja.
This comes on the heels of the alleged feud between the FCT Minister and the incumbent governor, Sir Similanayi Fubara.
According to him, the main opposition party has taken over the matter.
“In politics, there are lot of internal wrangling. But you’re not going to say that because there are lots of internal wrangling, they’re not going to settle among themselves.
“I was the instrument. I had every power then to say where things should go. When things are wrong, you ask questions. It’s a party affair.
“Parties know how they resolve their own mechanism. It’s not an ethnic affair. Our party is looking into it. That’s what I’ll say. Every politician has his own interests,” he said.
