Rivers LG poll: Six quick facts to know about APP

The Action Peoples Party (APP) recently made headlines after clearing 22 Chairmanship seats out of the 23 local government areas of the states in the just-concluded local government area councils in Rivers.

1. National Chairman: Uchenna Nnadi leads the APP as its national chairman, a position confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

2. Party Slogan: The APP’s slogan emphasizes its vision for a “Strong economy; united Nigeria” with the possibility of “A new Nigeria”.

3. Logo: The APP’s logo features an elephant, symbolising strength and resilience.

4. International Cooperation: The APP is open to collaborating with other countries, particularly African nations and global powers, to promote international peace and security.

5. 2023 Presidential Election: Initially cleared to contest the 2023 presidential election, the APP joined forces with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside four other parties.

6. National Secretariat: You can find the APP’s national secretariat at No. 6 Alexander Crescent, Behind Banex Plaza, Wuse II, Abuja.

7. Membership: Its membership is open to every Nigerian provided that the person meets some certain prerequisites as contained in the party’s constitution.
