Rivers APC chairman thanks Tinubu, Wike over appointment

Chairman, caretaker committee of the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sir Tony Okocha, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his double appointments as the APC chairman caretaker committee and the Rivers State representative in the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Okocha gave the commendation during a thanksgiving church service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Rumuapara District in Port Harcourt.

In his testimony at the church service, Okocha posited that the thanksgiving emphasised gratitude and praise to God for His blessings.

Okocha thanked President Tinubu for finding him worthy of functioning in the dual capacities, at a time when it was difficult to locate a man to be trusted with power. He pledged total loyalty and commitment in the discharge of his responsibilities.

He also specially thanked Wike, the man who according to him, God used to attract all these testimonies.

In his remarks, Wike, commended Chief Okocha on his doggedness, steadfastness and commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and congratulated him on his special thanksgiving.

Wike urged the Church to pray for Nigeria and also pray for President Tinubu so as to fulfill all his promises.
