Rio 2016: NFF may charter private jet for Dream Team

Published by

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are considering chartering a private jet to fly the country’s Olympic team to Brazil from the United States of America, officials have disclosed.

The Nigeria U23s will now depart Atlanta, United States of America for Brazil today.

According to an official statement by the NFF, the earlier arrangement was for the team to depart for Brazil in batches due to difficulties in securing seats for the team, but the NFF decided against that movement and they are now thinking of either getting them to Brazil as a team or chartering a private plane to take the team directly to Manaus, venue of the team’s first match.

Nigeria play their first match against Japan on Friday 2am Nigerian time.
