Restructuring Nigeria

Published by

It  been 30 years since Chief Obafemi Awolowo passed on. His government is the best that the country has ever had. But the main point is not about who he is but how he governed.

For a long time now, Nigerians have been clamouring for restructuring. The advocates of restructuring are cognizant of the fact that Nigeria is supposed to be a federal state, with autonomous regions.

The Federal Government is not supposed to be an overlord over the states but a supervisor.

It is certainly true that the advocates of restructuring are following in the footsteps of the sage.

If the country is restructured to reflect the way things were during  the First Republic, then it would move to greater heights.
