Restructuring is imperative

Published by

IF Nigeria is to develop in accordance with the vision of the founding fathers, it needs to be restructured. During the First Republic, the Northern Region, Western Region and Eastern Region, and later the Midwest Region, recorded landmark achievements because of the relative autonomy that each of them had.

It thus stands to reason that if we desire the same level of development today, we must go back to the federal structure that made the glories of the past possible.

It is a fallacy that certain sections of the country cannot survive if it is restructured.

There is, in reality, no part of the country that is not richly endowed.

What is needed is a team of competent managers to leverage on these resources and take the nation to an enviable height.

Restructuring simply means that people be allowed to control what they have and  develop at their own pace. Surely, that cannot be too much to ask for.
