Resist desperate politicians – GDI warn youths

A non governmental organizations known as Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI), in Ebonyi state has charged Ebonyians to resist been used by some people they described as desperate politicians who are allergic to peace, prosperity and growth of the state.

The group stated these while briefing journalists through it’s media publicity Secretary comrade Simbad Ogbuatu in Abakaliki.

Ogbuatu who charged the youths to be great ambassadors of good Governance advised them to stop been tools in the hands of people he described as Political desperados.

He urged the youths to always show readiness at all time to defend good governance rather than being a cheap commodity in the hands of men who only uses and dump them the next minute.

Ogbuatu called on the youths whom are said to be leaders of tomorrow to identify with the visions and objective leadership style of Governor Umahi, who is practicing democracy in his administration.

“As we all know that GDI is a non-governmental organisation, that specialises in identifying and supporting good Governance and here we are in Ebonyi State, we have found good Governance in Governor David Nweze Umahi quality leadership style and it is time to throw our teeming support and solidarity to him irrespective of one’s Political party and ensure that the good Governance and ongoing rapid transformation in Ebonyi State is sustained and Governor David Nweze Umahi re-elected come 2019.

“What Umahi is doing in Ebonyi State is beyond party Politics, what the Governor is doing in the state is not found in politicians but in statesmen and statesmen think of the next generation, through his monumental strides , democracy and good Governance has been vindincated.”

He then called on all Ebonyi youths irrespective of political parties to support Umahi’s second tenure bid, noting that a support for Governor Umahi is a support for prosperity and growth of the State.
