Reps, Senate in joint executive session

Members of the  House of Representatives and Senate are currently holding a joint executive session.

The joint session might not be unconnected with happenings in the polity and state of the nation.

The House had put on hold legislative business to allow Senators led by the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki to enter the green chamber for the closed-door session.

The House Leader, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, moved the motion for suspension of House rule to allow the senators to enter the chamber of the House for the joint executive session.

Both Senate President and the Speaker, Honourable Yakubu Dogara are presiding over the executive session.
