Reps member-elect urges aggrieved losers to sheathe their swords

Warri Federal Constituency House of Representatives member-elect, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, has appealed to aggrieved candidates of other parties who lost at the February 23 poll to sheathe their swords.
The Itsekiri chief, who was elected under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), enjoined the aggrieved losers to join him to evolve a new life for the impoverished electorate in his constituency, especially folks in the creeks.

To achieve this, Chief Ereyitomi itemised four cardinal areas of interventions to restore good life to folks in his domain.

The new Reps member-elect, who was represented by Chief Robinson Ariyo, at a briefing with journalists in Warri, Delta State on Friday, said the cardinal areas included economic development, capacity building, peace-building, and research and advocacy.

Ariyo, who’s the Director-General of Ereyitomi Constituency Office, said Warri has been left behind for too long and must begin to take its rightful place among oil-producing communities.

Besides ensuring the revival of Warri ports, he said researches churned out by various centres, especially the NNDC Master Plan and DESOPADEC’s research blueprint on how to boost life in the creeks, will be pursued.

Ariyo, a peace-building expert, also said that his boss would work on the research blueprints to reduce restiveness by building capacities of youth leaders and stem the poverty rate in the constituency.
