A member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Adesola Adedayo, who is representing Apapa Federal Constituency, on Sunday, at Tego Barrack Field, distributed over three thousand bags of 10kg Rice to residents of his Constituency.
Hon. Adedayo, while speaking to the Nigerian Tribune, explained that Christmas is a season of love and sharing, so there is a need for the distribution of the Christmas palliative to members of his Constituency to enable them to have something to celebrate Christmas with.
“Am aware of the economy situation in Nigeria and President Tinubu is doing everything possible to reduce the inflation rate”
He added that “the beneficiaries of the palliatives were selected from the 247 polling units under Apapa Federal Constituency with ten persons randomly selected from each polling unit in the Constituency”.
“A total of 2474 persons were selected as beneficiaries of the Christmas palliative, with most of them non-APC members,” he added.
“The sharing was done to carry everybody along in my government.
Others who benefited from the palliative were Local Government officials, police officers working in Police units under the Apapa/ Igammu area, NURTW members, Market Women, and even Journalists”.
Hon. Dr. Adesola Adedayo recently empowered over two hundred artisans with Sewing machines, Grinding Machines, Keke Marwa, Deep Freezers, etc.
