Report of Student Visa ban for Nigerians is fake news — US Embassy

The United States Embassy in Nigeria says report claiming the United States government has placed a ban on Student Visa for Nigerian students until further notice is false.

The Embassy authorities thereby asked whoever has seen “the manufactured item on Facebook and Twitter or received it via WhatsApp,” should “please communicate that it is false.”

The Embassy in a Facebook post on its page Monday morning wrote: “#FakeNews Alert! Be advised, reports of Student Visa ban for Nigerians is false. If you have seen such manufactured item on Facebook and Twitter or received it via WhatsApp, please communicate that it is false.”
