Reelection: Yoruba Youths Movement congratulates Buhari

A Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, the Yoruba Youths Movement has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his reelection victory.
Mr Olayinka Samuel, the National President of the organisation, said the organisation, on behalf of the movement for all Yoruba youths based in the south-west of Nigeria and in the diaspora is congratulating the president for the landslide victory, he recorded at the Presidential poll.
In a statement made available to Tribune Online, Mr Samuel stated that he hopes the President will build on the legacy he built in his first term.
 “I hope you will continue performing the responsible duties of this position, as you have always worked to deliver the goals to bring the people of Nigeria together, through national unity, economic development and a corrupt-free society.
“I strongly hope that Nigeria, under your presidency, will continue to develop and expand their strong effort towards making Nigeria an example for the African continent and the world at large,” he said.
He further stated that as the President has promised to ensure more participation of women and youths in this new government, it will be of a great achievement if his administration could actualise the goal.
He also enjoined the president to ensure appointments that will reflect the federal character.
On the issue of security, Mr Olayinka charged the president to impose stricter measures on perpetrators of evil acts.
He expressed that he is sure the government will take Nigeria to greater heights in no distant time, just as he is advocating for 100% youth empowerment across the board.
Mr Olayinka Samuel also appealed to all Nigerians to vote wisely and make their vote count for credible candidates of their choice in the coming governorship and state Assembly elections.
