Call it the Lagos Big Vantage Party of the Year, call it the gathering of Nigerian graduates and purposeful youths, call it the most trendy movie premiere in Lagos city. Any way you slice it, Hammer The Movie premiere is an evening to remember. Lest I forget, August 20th, 2022 had two great events -Vantage August Meeting (which took place during the day) and Hammer the movie premiere (took place in the evening). So, here is the Highlight of how it went down.
The evening started with the welcoming of actors and actresses who starred in the movie. There were the likes of Debo Adedayo (popularly known as Mr Macaroni -Freaky Freaky), Ben TouItou, Mary Uye, Dr.Linda Iheme and Fontanne Bassey amongst others. It was a freestyle event as the attendees and guests were expected to turn up with choice outfits. Fontanne came prepared with her sea-green long-tailed exorbitant dress exuding the glamour of a proper premiere. She looked so magnificent in all of her essences. The assistant producer, Smart Edikan gave us the western freestyle in his buga pants and vantage shirt.
Then the arrival of the executive producer of the movie, Dr Linda Iheme gave us another glance of fashion. She arrived in a white overall suit that was inscribed with a red “Vantage Migration” at the back. You can’t expect less -red has always been her favourite colour. Anybody that knows Dr Linda Iheme must have known her two unique characteristics: her signature smile and her love for red. Undoubtedly, she did not disappoint her fans at the event of the movie premier, as she came in full glam.
Cameras were fleeced continually from different media houses and TV stations that came to cover the event; Arise TV, Channels, TVC, Pulse and Bellanaija were all present with their media crew to capture the Moment.
Not long after the executive producer arrived, the movie streaming began. It was a private streaming hall that accommodated not several people. There were cocktails, wines and small chops to entertain the guests and keep their throats wet while they enjoyed the movie.
The movie lasted for two hours and the evening was wound down with Media Rounds from the executive producer, Dr Linda Iheme and actors present. In her exact words, she described HAMMER as the next big thing hitting the Nigerian entertainment industry in 2022. “Hammer the movie is bringing a different story from what you used to see, it’s the next big thing coming, look out for it”, she said.
