Reason North East must support Buhari ― Bagel

ELECTORATES in the North-East have been urged to reelect President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16th presidential election so that he will be able to complete the many developmental projects the APC led administration has initiated in the zone.

The appeal was made by the only female member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Maryam Garba Bagel who is also the National Treasurer of Presidential Support Committee (PSC) during a sensitisation workshop she organised for all members of the various Buhari support groups drawn from various parts of the state on the achievements recorded by the administration in the last three and half years.

She said that the President has started oil exploration project in Bauchi state, signed the North East Development Commission bill, revival of Railways and power transmission projects in the North Eastern part of the country opening that if he does not come back for the second term, all the projects would be abandoned.

According to her, other achievements recorded by the administration include enrolment of 50, 000 youths in N-power program where they are being paid N30, 000 monthly, school feeding programme and flagging off of the construction of 2, 000 housing estates in all states of the federation among others.

“People have seen tangible things that they can put their hands on. I believe that people will not want to see that all these developments have ended in just four years,” she said.

Maryam Bagel noted that the workshop was organised to enlighten members of the Buhari Supports Groups and volunteers in the state on his achievements so that they could pass them to others during campaigns.
