RCCG pastor harps on sound teachings of God’s word

Pastor in charge of Region 13 (PICR), Edo State, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Dele Balogun, has said no ministry could survive without sound and unadulterated teaching of the word of God.

He encouraged Christians to study the word, and show themselves just as approved unto God in order to save the church from false teaching.

He stated this at the 7th Region 13 Train the Trainers conference with the theme: Songs of Victory after Restoration, organised by the region’s Sunday School department, at the regional headquarters, Trinity Sanctuary Parish, Benin City, Edo State.

He said: “Singing songs of victory after restoration is another way of expressing gratitude to God. Gratitude to God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He could probably do for us will attract more divine favour for us than we could ever imagine.”

Also speaking at the event, the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (APICR), Pastor Bode Olojede, stated: “Man is a tripartite being, so Satan can attack a man’s body, soul and spirit. He can steal, kill and destroy physically, emotionally or spiritually. So restoration can be physically, emotionally or spiritually too. Our God is God of restoration, songs of victory flow easily when destinies are restored.”

In the same vein, the regional coordinator, Pastor G.O. Popoola, noted that “Irrespective of life’s circumstances, believers are encouraged to develop an attitudinal disposition of worshipping and singing songs of praises to their Maker in the first instance. These then open up avenues for greater songs of victory concerning their other unique difficult situations.”
