RCCG Oyo Province 13 trains on aquaculture and poultry

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Oyo Province 13 through its Church Social Responsibility Empowerment scheme has facilitated and sponsored the training of some people in fishery and poultry farming at Aquatech College of Agriculture and Technology, Jbadan, Oyo State on Thursday.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the special guest and Pastor-in-charge of the RCCG, Oyo Province 13, Pastor Samuel Awobode, said knowledge and wisdom are two crucial things together and these have been given to the trainees in order to put into practice, profit with it and utilize the potentials that have been given to the trainees.

He said “I am so much delighted to see what I am seeing today because if you teach a person how to fish, the person will be independent and not to be a beggar or burden to the society.

“Experience is good and is the best teacher and what you need to make it in life is in your hands now”.

The Cleric also urged the trainees to utilize the opportunity and not to waste the resources and money spent on them by the province “Without God you cannot have a clear vision and everything you need God has given you.

“To this end, appreciation goes to our General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye for the privilege and opportunity to operate CSR in the Province. Redeemed is a good Church to partner with and the covenant of God is there.

“Our mission is to impact life and what we are doing now is unique”, the cleric said. In his address at the event, APICP Oyo Province 13, Pastor Edward Adepariola emphasized that talents have been given to the trainees and what they would do with that talents depend on them.

“The sponsor has gave you the knowledge and the application of that knowledge depends on you.

“Opportunity differs in every successful business and money is not number one but your ideas and to succeed in life you need God and don’t think you have arrived”, he concluded.

The Rector of the school, Dr Ayobami Omidiran during his speech said the trainees should be passionate about what they have learnt and become masters of fish and poultry production.

He said the training was meant to enable them apply the knowledge in creating wealth for themselves and not to jeopardize the opportunity and confidence reposed on them by the province in order to give room for others.

In his remarks, APICP (CSR), Pastor Nathaniel Olugbenga Adeseolu encouraged the trainees to be vigilant and be courageous in the knowledge acquired which can take them above the sky.

“To start something in life you need courage and help can come from nowhere through knowledge and power of God”, he urged.

The trainees expressed gratitude to God and the Church for the opportunity to be trained to be independent while at the same time contributing to the national economy.

They promised not to disappoint their sponsor so that the province can be encouraged to do more.
