Raymond Ediale: The fastest growing tech guru in Africa

At a time when Nigeria is trying to catch up with the technological advancement of developed nations, one of her own, 34-year-old Raymond Oseghale Ediale, is taking over the app development world with his ingenuity and innovation.

Raymond was born and had some of his education in Nigeria before relocating to South Africa where he wants to acquire his tech skills. Having completed his secondary school education, he proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Auchi Edo State where he obtained National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering and Bio-environmental Technology in 2016. Later obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Oduduwa University In 2022.

Despite graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering, that does not limit his ability in app development and design.

  • In 2019, he founded RayedTech, his first multi purpose tech company with an aim to infuse extra knowledge to expand technology and app development. Ever ready to learn, he gained experience on app design and development within a space of 3 years and became a team leader of a free computer programming platform, a programme which encourages and pays attention to students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It was during his involvement in the programme that he thought of developing a very cheap webhosting company that enable student and learners to test their work online.

In 2020  RayedHost , his webhosting company was born that has over 60 thousand users across Africa.  A part of its unique feature is the ability to crate defend applications across several programing language. He also crated and owned an online market place application RMAT which is based in Nigeria it enables buyers and sellers trade goods and services with ease.  RMAT is one of the fastest growing online marketplace platform in Nigeria and has over 1.5 million users and 4 million unique active visitors a month. And 500 thousand active adds with combine worth of $1.5M

Owing to this milestone success, Raymond has received support and partnership deals from various partners and sponsors. In the same year, RayedTech signed a deal with Google securing exclusive sales in google play stores.

Not only have his works gained recognition, but He is also one of the National winners of the 2021 Young Design Entrepreneur Award in South Africa.

He notes that the secrets to his success are shared ideas, balance, time management and being oneself.

Raymond has now become the owner of Nigeria best webhosting platform RayedHost.
