Member of the Federal House of Representatives-elect, Ondo East/West, Hon. Abiola Makinde has urged Muslims to pray for peace, love and tolerance in the country during this holy month of Ramadan.

His Media Aide, Omo’ba Segun Adesemoye made this goodwill message known to newsmen recently.

Makinde, who recently won the seat on the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC), said that it is through peace, love and tolerance that the country can experience unprecedented growth and development.

“I urged you all to pray for the peace and progress of the Country because growth and development will surface when it exists.

“Islam is a religion of peace that upholds the values of tolerance and mutual coexistence without a place for hatred and violence.

“I felicitate with my brothers and sisters of the muslim faith as they commence their annual fasting and praying in the holy month of Ramadan.

“ It is my sincere wish and prayers that it turns out to be a satisfying and fulfilling one.

Meanwhile, Makinde made assurances to his constituents that work is already in motion to start delivering campaign promises immediately after the swear-in ceremony billed to come up early next month.
