As part of Ramadan welfare,a non governmental organization Society for Zakkat Professionals has distributed assorted food items,cash to 30 poor and vulnerable households in Zamfara state.
Presenting the Ramadan gesture to benefiting households on Saturday morning at Zakkat plaza Il in Gusau,the state capital,Chairman society for Zakkat Professionals Ambassador Ibrahim Tudu disclosed that the gesture is to assist less privileged persons in this holy month of Ramadan.
According to him, assorted food distributed includes rice, millet and cash assistance to poor and vulnerable households in the state.
“In this years Ramadan,since the beginning todate ,we are able to distribute food items to less privileged persons from the donations we gets from philanthropists and some wealthy individuals in the state “. He mentioned.

Ambassador Ibrahim Tudu revealed that each beneficiary after receiving rice and millet, would also take home with two thousand naira as transport.
He highlighted that,the society for Zakkat Professionals consist of skilled professionals from different fields and team of volunteers with background in charity and humanitarian services.
“We fight against poverty and social injustice,we also collect donations, grants, Zakkat and other assistance for support and distribution to less privileged persons”.
In their responses, beneficiaries of the gesture Mallama Aisha and Abubakar Mohammed appreciated the efforts of society for Zakkat Professionals for their support and assistance to less privileged persons, particularly in this holy month of Ramadan.
“We are very much grateful for the gesture, it’s come at a time it was needed, we appreciate it,and we’ll continue to pray for the donors”.
