In a gesture to enable civil servants to fully participate in the spiritual activities of the holy month of Ramadan, Jigawa Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has reduced the working hours for civil servants in the state.
According to a statement issued by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, civil servants will now report to work at 9:00am and close at 3:00pm from Monday to Thursday, while on Fridays, they will work from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
The governor’s gesture is aimed at providing civil servants with more time to prepare for the Ramadan break and engage in spiritual activities.
