Alhaji Kwaru called on rich Muslims to pay their zakkat regularly and urged the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously so that they too could be givers of zakkat in future.
Speaking on the occasion, the guest lecturer from Bayero University, Kano, Dr Aliyu Muhammad Tahir, said payment of zakkat by wealthy Muslims would purify their wealth and move them closer to God.
According to him, giving Zakkat would also reduce unemployment, create love and eradicate insecurity in the society.
