Ramadan: Gov Idris reduces daily work hours for Kebbi civil servants

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has approved the reduction of official work hours for civil servants in the state in the spirit of the Ramadan fasting.

This is contained in a statement from the state Ministry of Establishment, Pensions and Training, dated 12th, March and made available to newsmen on Tuesday by the Commissioner, Auwal Manu Dogondaji. 

According to the statement, the official time frame has been reduced by two hours daily. Consequently, the new working hours from Monday to Thursday is 8:00 am to 2:00 pm while Friday is from 8:00 am to 12 :00 noon.

The statement said,”normal working hours will  be reverted to the status quo at the end of the Ramadan period.”

The Commissioner was quoted as saying that the  Governor’s decision is in the spirit of the month of Ramadan and to give civil servants the opportunity to discharge their normal religious activities with ease.
