Rainstorm of Friday and Saturday in Lafiya Lamurde LGA of Adamawa State has destroyed the bridge connecting Gombe State, Adamawa and Taraba States.
A development which has caused untold hardship and has stalled movements of commuters and travellers who are moving in and out of Adamawa State to various states in the North.
Tribune Online gathered that hundreds of travellers from Adamawa and Taraba States heading towards the North-Central states have been stranded.
One of the travellers, Nura Mohammed who is on his way to Abuja told Tribune Online that the situation is dicey as the incident has forced travellers to take the alternative road through Lamurde a muddy, bumpy and risky road.

“I can tell you that hundreds of travellers are now stranded at Lafiya Lamurde as the bridge has been washed away by the heavy downpour.
“We have been forced to take the alternative route through Lamurde and I can tell you the journey is brutish as the road is muddy, slippery and risky to traverse.
“Despite the risk, we are going through the unmotorable Lamurde alternative route at a snail pace and only God knows when we will leave this place,” Mohammed said.
