Queen Funmi Normal to celebrate husband’s 60th in grand style

Prominent gospel and juju musician, Mrs. Funmilola Bodunrin, popularly known as Queen Funmi Normal, is set to mark the 60th birthday of her husband, Mr. Anthony Bodunrin, in grand style.

Expressing her joy, Queen Funmi Normal shared her excitement about honouring her husband on this momentous occasion, set to take place on January 12, 2025. She described Mr Bodunrin as “a pillar of unwavering love and support in her life and career.”

The celebration will be held at the prestigious Mauve 21 Event Centre, Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Flying in from the United States, the couple will host family, friend, and well-wishers to a memorable gathering in honour of this milestone.

The event promises to be a musical extravaganza, featuring performances by renowned artists such as Yinka James, Femolancaster, Bola Doyin Adejobi, Taye Turaya, St. Janet, Idowu Santana, Femi Guitar, Taiwo Amen, Yomi Silver, Dare Mercy, Dare Another Level, Korede Daniel, and others.

Adding a philanthropic touch to the celebration, Queen Funmi Normal revealed that Mr. Bodunrin will be launching a foundation dedicated to supporting the less privileged. Donations will also be made to various charity homes, emphasising their commitment to giving back to the community.

“I am thrilled to celebrate my crown, my husband, who means the world to me,” Queen Funmi Normal stated. “He deserves all the respect, love, and honour as he reaches this remarkable milestone. I am deeply grateful to God for His divine grace upon my husband’s life and our union.”

She continued, “This celebration is a moment of joy, gratitude, and reflection. We are thankful for the blessings of the past six decades and look forward to celebrating the incredible journey of a man who has touched so many lives with his kindness and love.”
