Fast-rising music sensation, PVD, is coming into the industry in style, as the Edo State-born singer, who returned to Nigeria from Ghana, has revealed that he has set to stamp his authority on the Nigerian music industry.
PVD, who was raised in Warri Delta State, believes he remains the life of a party and assured his fans that his decision to return to Nigeria was borne out of his desire to give his country a feel of what he had been doing outside Nigeria.
Having appeared in a number of music videos as a backup singer, he disclosed that his rap career starrted from his birth place, in Warri where he graced many stages at tender age of 17.
Being a fan of Reaggae music, the rapper said he enjoyed the vibes of Bob Marley and Popcan, adding that apart from being a musician blessed with lyrical contents, he was also the ladies’s man as he dresses to impress.
Speaking on his budding music career, PVD, in an interview with R said his career started as a rapper and had since gone through different phases in the last five years.
“I started doing rap music at the age of 17, much to the dislike of my mother, but she has learnt to appreciate my talent and has supported me greatly. I left Nigeria for Ghana to further my education and I was able to push my music career even while I was studying,” he said.
On how the collaborations he had with some of Ghana’s finest musicians, PVD said he featured Shatta Wale and the late Ebony, which earned him a huge fan base.
“I am one act people should watch out for in the New Year as I am ready to take my career to the next level and I am not worried about any kind of competition that might come my way,” he said.
