The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the GS Foundation, has implemented an Advanced Facilitators Training Program aimed at enhancing the instructional and leadership capabilities of police officers.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

According to the statement, “The training, held at the National Institute of Police Studies (NIPS), Abuja, runs in two sessions: from February 10 to 15 and from February 17 to 22, 2025.

“The training participants were carefully selected based on their outstanding performance in the Basic Facilitators Program.

“This advanced program aims to further equip them with high-level facilitation skills, enabling them to serve as facilitators for other officers, thereby ensuring a sustainable capacity-building framework within the Force.”

The statement further noted that the NPF appreciates the UNDP and GS Foundation for their invaluable support in sponsoring the program, which strengthens the Force’s commitment to professionalism, excellence, and improved service delivery.

It reassured that the Force remains committed to personnel development and capacity building, recognizing their role in driving effective reforms in Nigeria’s policing system.

Additionally, the statement mentioned that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, was represented at the opening session by the Commissioner of Police, Department of Training and Development, CP Rashad B. Afegbua.
