Public office holders charged to be trustworthy

Public office holders have been charged to hold the trust bestowed on them with every sense of responsibility deserved so that posterity will judge them right long after they might have left the office.

The charge was given by the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Bogoro LGA of Bauchi State, Iliya Habila while announcing portfolios to all the Councillors recently appointed and inaugurated for the Council.

Iliya Habila opined that public office is a trust which requires the holder to be up and doing in ensuring that he/she did the needful in ensuring that the trust was not misused for selfish purposes but for the collective good of all.

He then enjoined the Councillors to do everything humanly possible to ensure that they perform well in the best interest of the people of the area who he said are yearning for development.

He then stated that “This is THE TEAM OF NEW BOGORO LGA (BOGORO SABUWA). I feel glad to announce the appointments of the following Councillors into various positions”.

Those appointed are Leader of the House/Chieftaincy and Security, Hon. Dauda Jika M (Tadnum/Bangram Ward), Hon. Samuel Rake (Bogoro Ward)–Supervisory Councillor in charge of Works and Housing, Hon. Zabs Gaba Mamani (Badagari Ward)—Supervisory Councillor in charge of Health Services, Hon. John S. Bani (Mwari Ward)– Supervisory Councillor in charge of Education and Social Development, Hon. John Daniel (Gyara Ward)- Supervisory Councillor in charge of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Hon. Uba Michael (Gobbiya Ward)- Supervisory Councillor in charge of Revenue Services.

Others are Hon. Adamu Ayuba (Ado) (Dutsen Lawan Ward) -Supervisory Councillor in charge of Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Munza John (Boi Ward)- Chairman, Committee on Transport, Youths and Sports, Hon. Dai Bulus (Bar Ward)– Chairman, Committee on Ethics and Religious Affairs, Hon. (Mrs) Keziah Farouk (Lusa Ward)- Chairperson Committee on Widows, Orphans and Vulnerable Groups, Hon. Iliya Ibrahim (Dazara Ward) Chairman, Committee on Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Samaila Yelmi (Gambar Ward), Chairman Committee on Education/ Social Development and Hon. Luka Madaki (Bugun Ward) Chairman, Environment and Disaster Management.

The Caretaker Chairman then prayed that “May God guard and guide us as we continue to dedicate ourselves to the service of the people of Bogoro”.
