Prosse is full of ‘stamina’

A delta-born artiste, Ewere Obima, known as Prosse has released his new hit single titled ‘Stamina’. The artiste, who also doubles as a producer, said that there is no big deal in the title of his single but observed that his song titles are always borne out of a well- thought idea and inspiration from his environment.

He added that nothing but consistency and content-filled songs will edge him out over others in the industry, saying that, “I have pretty well studied the music industry in the country and came to the conclusion that sky is one’s starting point with good, quality and environmentally inclined songs”.

“If you hear my works, you will know that I sound different from the other persons and I think that should sell me. I don’t want to do a music that I don’t want to listen to. There are some songs I cannot listen to and hence I don’t do songs I cannot listen to”.

He said that upcoming artistes need to give more accolades to the innovative ideas of social media platforms especially instagram and twitter where quite a huge number of them have been discovered. Prominent amongst others is Mayorkun who was discovered by Davido on twitter”.

“I am not skeptical about the industry at all because i know too well that my good music will sell me and will not be astonished if record labels like Mavins records, Made Men Music, Aquila Records and so many others begin to look out for him because they are record labels that source for upcoming artistes with good stuff. Although i am growing in the industry but i dare any record label to listen to this new single. I can’t say how good it is because it is those that listen to it that will rate it on a scale of one to ten”.

Reacting to Davido’s statement on Headies awards that people rise by lifting others, Prosse said that he believes that if such philosophy is taken well by other made men in the industry, he is rest assured that the industry will be the best in the whole world and that upcoming artistes with exceptional and flawless dexterity will be unveiled.

Prosse said that he started singing since he was 12 years old, adding that legendary songs are songs that are well coordinated and with content and that is why they stand the test of time. Commenting on his signature, Prosse lauded Nigerian artistes with their superb and differentiated signatures but said his own signature will be good music.
