The Ogun State government has assured that processing of Certificate of Occupancy and other title documents will not take longer than 28 days for processing.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Lands, Mr Aina Salami during an interactive session with stakeholders in his office, on Wednesday, in Abeokuta.
The governor’s aide advised applicants to always provide necessary documents required for processing within the specified period, to fast track the process.
He said the Bureau was determined to satisfy the yearnings of applicants and investors across the state, adding that compensation had been paid to owners of land acquired by the government for public use, as the state now has an acceptable working relationship with professional bodies on land matters.

He said, ” The activities of the Bureau is not going to be business as usual, all hands must be on deck to work harmoniously with the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Nigerian Institute of Surveyor (NIS), among others”, just as the new service regime would provide investors with enough information to prepare them for land purchase across the state.”
The stakeholders appreciated the Dapo Abiodun led administration, for putting the right peg in the right hole, as the processing of land documents before now was a long process, expressing optimism that the new development would make Ogun more relevant in terms of doing business.
