Newlywed Nollywood actress daughter Priscilla Ojo has stirred drama on social media after unfollowing popular influencer Beauty Goddess on Instagram.
The move followed Beauty Goddess’ absence at Priscilla’s traditional and white wedding held over the weekend. In a now-viral video, the influencer came out to clarify her absence at the wedding she claimed she had a prior paid engagement in Zanzibar, which she reportedly explained to Priscilla ahead of time.
However, another video surfaced, where beauty goddess stated that Priscilla and herself are not particularly close.
“Can you guys just chill? I’m so happy for her. You can’t find three videos of us hanging out. No, you can’t. How are we friends?” she said. In that same video, she stated that she was tipsy.
Despite the apparent fallout, a check on Instagram shows that Beauty Goddess still follows Priscilla.
Her remarks, however, sparked backlash from social media users who accused her of belittling their relationship and being unnecessarily defensive.
One user, Dolapo, wrote, “It’s necessary, ‘cos the way the girl set her extra large mouth in front of the camera saying nonsense is irritating.”
Another, Blessy Brimez, said, “It’s fine she didn’t go to the wedding; why set a ring light to vomit trash? People should really know when to keep shut. I hope Priscilla didn’t just unfollow her; I hope she blocked, too.”
Walter offered a different angle, commenting, “Wait ooooo. What if she wasn’t invited????? Nobody is thinking in that direction just because you all are being defensive of Priscy.”
Dennis added, “E reach to unfollow. Give her that same energy. BG is becoming proud.”
As fans remain glued to both women’s pages, many are keen to see how the situation unfolds in the coming days.
