Prioritise education for brighter future, Sam Ologunorisa urges youths

The founder of Sam Maris University, Supare-Akoko, Ondo State, Mr. Sam Ologunorisa, has urged youths in the country to make education their utmost priority to accomplish their goals, saying education remains the only recipe for a brighter future.

This is just as he charged parents and guardians to invest in the future of their children by giving them quality education at all levels to enhance their chances of being useful to themselves and society.

Ologunrisa who started these whole paying tributes to his father, Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa who died at 93, said that without his father’s dedication and support to his education, “I never would have made it here without him”

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) specifically charged Nigerian youths to embrace quality education, noting it is the only way to reach their desired stardom, describing it as a vital foundation for a successful future.

Ologunorisa noted that education plays a crucial role in dispelling misconceptions and equipping individuals with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions.

Ologunorisa recalled that his late father was committed to the advancement of his children education and that of the less privileged in the community.

He said, “Baba’s legacy was that of human capital development through the promotion of Jeremy Bentham’s philosophy of “the promotion of the greatest good of the greatest number.

“This abiding ethos and credo of his existence saw his unflinching commitment to the advancement of the education of his children and that of the less privileged in his community.

“In retrospect, it is on record that Baba lived a life of spartan self-discipline foregrounded by contentment and self-abnegation (sacrifice).”
