Pray for Nigeria, Obas task Christians at CAN crusade

THE Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State chapter, has concluded its three-day crusade, organised in collaboration, with the Osile Oke-Ona of Egba, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso.

At the event, held at Ilaro, Ogun State, Director General, Prison Mission International, Bishop Kayode Williams, advised Nigerians to move closer to God.

The event committee chairman, Reverend Solomon Olaguade, noted that the crusade was organised to win more souls for Christ, just as he enjoined the citizens of Yewa and Ogun State in general to be more united and move closer to God.

The Olu of Ilaro and paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, in his address at the crusade, enjoined Nigerians not to get tired of praying for the peace of the country.

He expressed confidence that with continuous prayer, the current peaceful atmosphere in the country would improve, stating that with prayer and hard work, God would restore the country’s prosperity in due course and make 2018 a year of abundant blessings.

“I want to assure you that if we continue to pray to God and call on Him every time, Nigeria will enjoy improved peace and God will restore prosperity to our land, and make this new year, a year of abundant blessings for us,” Oba Olugbenle stated.

On his part, the Osile Oke-Ona of Egba, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, enjoined Christians and Nigerians to pray without ceasing for positive change in the socio-economic affairs of the country.
