To be positively minded, Lalong tells oppositions

AMIDST allegation that the present administration in Plateau State has not live up to expectation and full its electoral promises, Governor Simon Lalong has declared that oppositions are behind the allegation and tasked them to open their eyes and be positively minded in their criticisms.

The Governor who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Daniel Manjang said his administration has achieved over 70 percent of its electoral promises within two years of being in government adding the oppositions are simply babbling in an attempt to rubbish the government.

“You know they are new in the game of opposition and they are also desperate in their quest to return to power in 2019, we expect all these undue criticisms from them. But on our part, in the face financial predicament, we are trying our best, the court of public opinion is there to judge us.

“This government has done so many things through implementation of several programmes, trained people in skill acquisitions. The state government in the past two years has paid over N478 million as scholarship and completed many projects. “he said.

The Governor further pointed out that the Secretariat junction to Maraban Jarma road will soon be completed adding the work is being delay a little bit due to lack of fund adding fund to execute this and others are not forthcoming couple with refusal of people to exercise their civic responsibility of paying tax.

Said he: “Most of the commercial motorcycles on the roads are not registered, people are not forthcoming in their responsibilities but the government is not folding its arms, at appropriate time, the situation will be addressed”

According to him, the allegations of the opposition are too frivolous adding the administration had touched virtually all sectors and ensure that peace return to all parts of Plateau State.
