Positioning the Nigerian brands in highly-competitive global market will form the thematic thrusts of the forthcoming Nigerian Brands Week Summit, scheduled for December, the organisers, the Institute of Brands Management of Nigeria (IBMN), have revealed.
The one-week event, tagged: “Positioning Nigerian Brands in the Contemporary Global Market; issues challenges and strategies’’, will be featuring the Nigeria Brands Summit, NABELA (National Brands Excellence & Leadership Award), Made in Nigeria Brands Exhibition, Nigeria Brands CEO Awards and the Conferment of Honorary Fellowship and Induction.
The convener, Desmond Esorougwe, described the summit as a high level brands thought leadership event designed to solve contemporary brands challenges.
“NBS is a think tank of great minds who have built successful brands. The 2023 edition will focus on positioning Nigerian brands to the global market, the strategies to adopt, and the issues and challenges this may raise,” he said.
According to him, while the National Brand Excellence and Leadership Award (NABELA) is designed to celebrate proudly made in Nigeria products and services, it is expected to reward manufacturing excellence and innovation of products and brands made in Nigeria.
He added that the governing council of the institute will also be extending the opportunity for honorary fellowship awards to some select Nigerians who have shown practical leadership experiences.
