The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic Zone B has commended the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the suspension of the implementation of the released scheme of service and the convening of a meeting of all stakeholders to further scrutinise the document and make the necessary adjustment and corrections.
Recall that the union recently issued a 15-day ultimatum on the contentious scheme of service released by the National Board for Technical Education.
In a statement signed by its Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Simji Innocent Lumpye, made available to the Nigerian Tribune in Jos, Plateau State, the union appreciated the NEC of the Union, the Council of National Officers, and the Zonal Executive Council in the zone.
Comrade Lumpye also commended the Minister of Education and the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, for their proactive intervention in this case.
